Script Doctor Eric

Just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know that some awards season scripts are beginning to appear online.  Which means, it’s my favorite time of the year!  (The time where you can get free screenplays from some of the greatest movies of 2012.  :))

One of the best things you can do as a screenwriter to improve your craft is to read scripts.  Especially the newest and best scripts.

Remember though, often times these awards scripts are the shooting script, or formatted after the film is shot, so may be a bit different than what was sold as the spec script…ie, the type of script you are writing.

Still, you can learn a lot.

Alright, how do I get the free scripts already, Eric??!?

Just go to Jeanne Bowerman’s post on Scriptmag for more details on how to get the pdfs of the awards scripts for free:

Happy reading!

And don’t forget to write.  🙂
