Script Doctor Eric

Welcome to Script Doctor Eric!

On this site, you’ll find posts on everything screenwriting: generating ideas, character introductions, writing mistakes, secret screenwriting tips, movie analysis, best of lists, screenplay contests, query letters, and much, much, more.

Okay, maybe just one “much.”

Use the search box to find what you’re looking for, or just peruse the site.

My name – if you haven’t guessed – is Eric.  Yep, that’s my real name.  Does it sound like psyedunym?  :)

I’m a freelance script reader paid to read scripts.  I’m also an aspiring screenwriter with a produced credit (or two, depending on how you count) but will continue to call myself “aspiring” until a paid intern is writing these posts.

For more about me, check out: Who the Heck is Script Doctor Eric?

This website – ScriptDoctorEric.com – was established in 2008 to help screenwriters primarily through my Screenwriting Services.  The services have been a great way to connect writers from all over the world.  It turns out, people are writing screenplays everywhere… from Israel to China and even – you’d never guess – right here in LA.

Right now, however, my Screenwriting Services are on hiatus while I finish a larger project

I’ll still be updating the site with regular posts, as well as doing a weekly screenwriting podcast called Scriptcast

If you have any questions – screenwriting or otherwise – please don’t hesitate to pop them over to me: [email protected]

Good luck, keep writing, and…

Onward!

-Eric
